Information for Tourists in Karlovy Vary
Cable Cars and the Mini Train
A symbol of romance and unforgettable views
The Diana Cable Car is one of the city’s most iconic symbols and a popular attraction for visitors from around the world. The cable car connects the spa center with the summit of Diana Hill, offering not only comfortable transportation but also unforgettable views of the panoramic landscape and city architecture. The cable car has a lower station called "Stará louka," an intermediate station called "Jelení skok," and the upper control station at Diana, where the observation tower is also located. You can reach the observation deck of the Diana Lookout Tower, at a height of 25 m, either by elevator or by climbing 150 steps. In good weather, the view extends up to 70 km. The lookout tower also features a restaurant with a pleasant forest terrace, a Butterfly House, and a mini-zoo.
Tourist Sightseeing Train
A sightseeing ride on the tourist train, which runs through the spa district of Karlovy Vary from April to September, is a great way to discover the beauty of the historic center and enjoy an unforgettable experience. Passengers can relax and enjoy the views of the picturesque scenery.
Parking
To preserve Karlovy Vary’s uniqueness and the atmosphere of a spa town, it is necessary to observe the regulated traffic regime in the central spa area, which restricts both entry and parking.
At each entrance, the area is marked by a traffic sign reading “No Entry” with an additional sign stating “Except for vehicles with a permit and after payment of a fee to the municipal police” and, where applicable, an information sign.
We offer suitable parking locations in Karlovy Vary, including paid parking lots and parking area on Západní Street on the edge of the spa district.
